It has pros and cons, August 18, 2011 By This review is from: Secure Beginnings Heaven Sent Breathable Crib Mattress Base, Flower-White, Standard (Baby Product) This products is great because it is breathable, especially since my daughter could roll over at 9 weeks. However, there are many things I don't like about the mattress. Such as, it doesn't fit ever crib. We had to push very hard on the base to get it to fit our crib (I'm not really sure if it will come out). The mattresses are very expensive (you will need more than one) and the shape of the mattress is very awkward so it stalls my washer every time. In addition, the mattress is difficult to get on, especially if your doing it by yourself. One last thing, the mattress also gives my baby like a rug burn on her knees if she doesn't have something covering her legs. I am not trying to be a downer on this product, I just feel it's important to make sure everyone is aware of the downfalls of this product.

Beautiful, made in America, June 23, 2011 By This review is from: Secure Beginnings Heaven Sent Breathable Crib Mattress Base, Flower-White, Standard (Baby Product) We ordered our Secure Beginnings Heaven Sent mattress directly from their website- it was more affordable, you can watch demonstrations, and they sent a Mother's Day discount. We ordered the ebony base with a lime green cover. It is very beautiful, well made, and I sincerely believe that this product will be safer and more comfortable for the baby. I had emailed several questions about the mattress and the answers I received were not accurate but I was smart enough to figure that out on my own. Here's what I will warn you about. If you have a Gracco crib, you will need a normal crib mattress to put down first or the Secure Beginnings base won't fit down in the crib due to the way the Gracco is held together. Once the other mattress is down there everything is fine and it looks better. Having the other mattress doesn't interfe with the purpose of the breathable mattress. I had also asked what type of monitor should be used with this product and they said any kind of monitor is fine... Read more

It is very well made, and matches the wood tone of the crib very nicely. It has been 5 months now and the baby sleeps soundly. The flower hole design on the sides allows for adequate airflow around the baby at all times. This helps to keep the baby's sleeping environment an even temperature throughout the night to prevent overheating. A big thank you to Secure Beginnings for developing the revolutionary product for babies and also thank you to Amazon for providing such great service! We are very pleased!
